WEEK OF June 29 th – July 5 th
THERE’S A LOT GOING ON IN SHERIDAN!!!
West Downtown Phase I Reconstruction
Smith Street is open from Brooks to the Senior Center and is closed from the Senior
Center to Linden. This road closure will remain in effect until the Contractor has
installed all new utilities and concrete surfacing. During this closure, the Senior Center
may be accessed via Smith from the east using Dow and Brooks. The Senior Center
will be open during normal operating hours and the parking area for Whitney
Commons will remain open at all times throughout the construction process.
The YMCA can be accessed from Dow.
West Downtown Phase II Reconstruction
Brooks is currently closed from Sheridan Tent and Awning to the south side of Loucks just north of F irst
Interstate’s ATM access. The Brooks closure will extend to the north side of Works by the end of the
week. A detour will be set up adjacent to the construction to access the First Interstate Parking lo t.
Access from Main to Loucks will be using either Burkitt Street or Works Street. Access to the Bank o f
the West drive through and parking garage will be off of Loucks from Main Street. Access to First
Interstate Bank will be from either Works or Burkitt. Brundage Street is also closed from Main throu gh
the Brooks/Brundage Intersection to Interior Images. During these closures, all the businesses will have
walking access. The Brooks/Loucks intersection will be opened temporarily starting June 26 th with
temporary gravel surfacing until pavement is placed in July. First Federal Savings Bank lobby is
open and has walking access on Brundage Street from the west or from the alley on the east
side of the building. First Interstate Bank and Bank of the West can be accessed from Main
Street using Works or Loucks.
2009 Rotomill and Overlay Project
Concrete replacement has been completed for this project. Paving is scheduled to begin after rodeo w eek.
West Brundage Lane
Brundage Lane is closed from Big Horn Avenue to the Airport. In an effort to keep on schedule,
operations will start early in the morning (5 a.m.) and will continue past the 8:00 p.m. hour. Avia tion
Drive may be accessed from Papago. Flaggers will direct traffic through construction operations. Wee kly
public meetings are held every Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the jobsite trailer located south of Craftco Metals.

2009 Huntington Area Project .
Huntington Street is closed except for local traffic from Thurmond to South Linden, but is now open
between South Linden and Ash. Theroadway is scheduled to be closed from the northern
entrance of Olympus to Huntington starting on Monday, June 29 th . Weekly meetings are held
every Monday at 3:00 p.m. at the contractors’ staging area located at the intersection of Ash and
Meridian. For more details on the project, please contact Mike Evans at EnTech, Inc. (673-1542), or
Jason Baker at the City (674-6483). Please be cautious as construction activity increases.
Mydland Road Improvements (South of West Fifth Street
Mydland Road (from West Fifth Street to Bruce Mountain Drive) is closed to all traffic. The street i s
being widened and curb and gutter is being added along with storm drainage improvements and is
expected to be closed through the month of July. The walking path will be open during construction.
Construction updates and closure dates will be provided as construction progresses. For more details on

Mydland Road Pathway Phase II
Efforts will be concentrated on the retaining wall on the northern section of the pathway and the cu lvert
relocation near the stadium of the high school. The project is tentatively scheduled for completion by the
end of July. This project is the connection of the pathway from Hill Pond Road to West 5th Street al ong
the east side of Mydland Road.
Upper Kendrick Park/Trail End Pathway
This project is complete. Thanks to everyone for your support and patience as we built this addition to
our pathway system.
Water St. Pathway Extension
City crews will be completing this project which starts at East College Avenue along Little Goose Cr eek
and finishes at North Sheridan Avenue. A portion of this pathway will entail a painted section along
Water Street, from Park Street to Works Street.
Mosquito Spray Schedule
Monday: West of Main Street and north of Loucks
Tuesday: West of Main Street and South of Loucks
Wednesday: East of Main Street
Thursday: Spot Spraying as necessary
